Sunrise Beach Pool Fence

Our first pool fence using the Glassmate jigs.  What a clever invention.  Not only do they make installs quicker and safer, they make it super easy to line up the glass panels dead straight before pouring the grout.  Thank you Glassmate!  This is a game changer.

Custom Shower Screen
Raked Ceiling (Noosa)

This job created some challenges due to the raked ceiling in a beautiful character Queenslander. and the fact that none of the shower walls were straight.  We recommended a fully frameless screen custom shape to follow the raked ceiling and outages in the walls.  To stabilise the door we used heavy duty mechanical wall clamps that bolt through holes in the hinge panel.   To further brace the screen we installed a glass header bar without touching the ceiling.  Clients also wanted frosted glass for privacy and brushed brass hardware.

Grout/Silicone Issues + Repaired Screen

 (Sunshine Beach)

This shower had several issues with water leaking into the substrate due to poorly applied silicone, soft porous floor grout, no grout under the shower screen and no drain holes in the sill (base) of the metal frame.

This type of semi-frameless screen can accumulate water in the sill which will begin to stink.  Simply put there is no escape for water to track out of the metal cavity.    Clients wanted to save the shower screen if possible.

We removed the screen, restored the glass removing hard water stains and applying Diamond Seal Systems glass protection.  We replaced the glazing rubber and most improtantly drilled drain holes in the metal sill so water can escape the metal.

To fix the silicone and grout issues we removed the old floor grout and silicone replacing it with epoxy grout which is long lasting and totally waterproof.  Because the screen was removed we were able to grouted the entire shower base.

In reinstalling the screen we intentionally did not seal the inside edge of the sill so that water can escape inside the shower base where it is supposed to.
